Space Systems Engineer (Space)

Location: Hybrid position based in Bremen, Germany, with mobile work abroad available.

What you will do

• Analyze functional and interface requirements for spacecraft and integrated space systems.
• Coordinate system-level validation and verification and ensure compliance with technical requirements.
• Define system configurations, technical budgets, mission-requirement flow-down, verification plans, and interfaces with launchers, ground systems, and users.
• Support AIT and operations planning, launch and flight-phase preparation, and spacecraft database maintenance.
• Supervise system and spacecraft testing, define test specifications, and review test results.
• Coordinate customers, subcontractors, architects, and engineers across multiple disciplines while contributing to technical risk management.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, physics, or an equivalent field.
• Professional experience in satellite projects, preferably during phases B, C, or D.
• Strong conceptual, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proactive, motivated, responsible, and collaborative working approach.
• Fluency in spoken and written English is required.

Nice to have

• German language skills.
• Experience working in internationally composed teams.
