BI Engineer (Azure)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States

Base pay: $70,600–$149,600 annually, with eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Design and develop end-to-end data integration pipelines.
• Deliver enterprise BI data marts and BI semantic data layers.
• Work with data architecture teams to develop and manage a universal semantic model.
• Partner with business stakeholders to design data products that enable insights.
• Manage multiple projects and support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
• Improve data processes, technology infrastructure, and reporting and analytical services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of experience, a master’s degree, or 6 years of equivalent experience with data integration platforms.
• At least 1 year of experience with SQL and data and analytics tools.
• Knowledge of BI architecture, enterprise data integration, and semantic modeling.
• Experience with Hadoop technologies including HDFS, Hive, HQL, Spark, Scala, PySpark, Python, and Sqoop.
• Knowledge of Teradata MPP platforms, Azure Synapse, ADLS, ADF, Azure SQL, DevOps, and continuous integration and deployment.
• Ability to analyze and present data, manage competing priorities, and work independently and collaboratively.
