Engineering Manager (PCB Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead and manage the process engineering team across PCB manufacturing operations including imaging, etching, plating, drilling, lamination, solder mask, and surface finishing.
• Develop process controls and improvement initiatives to increase yield, quality, throughput, and cost efficiency using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, process validation, qualification, and Design of Experiments.
• Maintain process documentation, work instructions, SOPs, process capability studies, and SPC systems.
• Evaluate and implement manufacturing technologies, equipment, and materials while supporting capital equipment projects.
• Collaborate with design engineering, operations, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams; manage budgets, metrics, audits, and the engineering roadmap.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, electrical engineering, materials science, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in PCB or related electronics manufacturing and at least 3 years of direct people-management experience leading engineering teams.
• Deep knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes and equipment, chemical processing, electroplating, surface treatment, and advanced PCB technologies.
• Experience with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab or JMP, CAD/CAM systems, and manufacturing execution systems.
• Knowledge of IPC standards and quality systems including ISO 9001, AS9100, and IATF 16949.
• Must comply with US export-control requirements, including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC; access to ITAR products and related technical data is restricted to US citizens and US permanent residents.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, Lean Manufacturing certification, IPC Certified Trainer or Specialist certification, or Professional Engineer license.
• Experience with HDI, rigid-flex, and high-frequency PCB materials.
