Demand Planner (Supply Chain)

Location: Lake Zurich, Illinois, United States; onsite

Salary: $70,000–$80,000 per year, based on experience.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain demand forecasts for assigned products using sales forecasts, historical shipment data, and marketing plans.
• Support the monthly Sales & Operations Planning process and facilitate demand review meetings with Marketing under the guidance of senior planners.
• Use ORI, Qlik Sense, and SAP Analytics Cloud to analyze demand patterns and identify sales gaps requiring forecast adjustments.
• Support forecasting for new product launches, product phase-outs, and Supply Chain Agreement updates.
• Monitor forecast accuracy, forecast bias, excess inventory, and short-date risks.
• Perform root cause analysis of forecast variances and document market intelligence, assumptions, and planning insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and analysis of large datasets.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of forecasting principles and inventory management concepts, with the ability to learn planning systems and reporting tools.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
• Effective English communication skills are required for written and verbal workplace communication in a regulated environment.
