Demand Planner (S&OP)

Location: Livermore, California, USA; onsite role.

Base pay: $90,000–$118,000 annualized.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain baseline forecasts using historical demand, statistical methods, market trends, customer demand, and business intelligence.
• Analyze seasonality, promotions, product lifecycles, launches, and other factors affecting forecast accuracy.
• Support the monthly S&OP process and develop consensus demand plans with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain.
• Use SAP IBP or comparable advanced planning systems for forecasting and scenario planning.
• Maintain planning and master data across ERP and demand planning systems.
• Track planning metrics, investigate forecast variance, identify improvement opportunities, and present risks and recommendations.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or related supply chain planning.
• Hands-on experience supporting a formal S&OP process and developing consensus demand plans.
• Strong knowledge of demand forecasting, forecast accuracy, inventory planning, data analysis, and demand-planning metrics.
• Experience with an ERP or advanced demand planning system.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, lookups, and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• SAP IBP, SAP ECC, or comparable platforms such as Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, o9, Anaplan, or Oracle.
• Knowledge of MRP, master data, materials, BOMs, and demand-to-supply planning.
• Experience with statistical forecasting, scenario modeling, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
