Operational Technology Engineer (OTE) (SCADA/PLC)

Location: US-CO-Frederick

Salary: $103,200–$161,250 per year, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.

What you will do

• Represent Operational Technology priorities between Automation Engineering and Information Technology.
• Manage and optimize the reliability, resiliency, security, and uptime of SCADA, BAS, PLC, data historian, MES, and related manufacturing systems.
• Troubleshoot OT and IT issues, support ESXi edge computing devices, and maintain PLC-level networking infrastructure.
• Integrate manufacturing equipment with Active Directory and contribute to data archiving, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
• Maintain the cybersecurity posture of OT systems and coordinate vulnerability mitigation with IT security and Automation Engineering.
• Lead OT change controls, functional testing, validation activities, documentation, and third-party vendor deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in automated manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of operational technology systems, including SCADA and PLCs.
• Experience with BAS, data historians, MES, and process control systems in a GMP manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of FDA GMP, data integrity, cybersecurity principles, and OT regulatory compliance.
• Experience with business analysis and requirements gathering.

• Previous GMP manufacturing experience.
