Power System Automation Engineer

Location: King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, or Nashua, New Hampshire, United States. Requires travel approximately 25% of the time.

Salary: $97,700–$160,000 per year.

What you will do

• Help customers apply hirify.global products through visits, demonstrations, training courses, and telephone support.
• Maintain and improve expertise in power system automation solutions and hirify.global products.
• Develop imaginative, thorough, and practical solutions to complex utility and industrial power system problems.
• Participate in sales, marketing, industry technical meetings, and conferences.
• Teach hirify.global University courses and contribute to white papers, application guides, journals, and technical papers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• 5+ years of experience in power system automation and communications.
• Experience with utility or industrial power systems, automation, communications, and control.
• Knowledge of SCADA protocols including DNP3, Modbus, hirify.global protocols, IEC 61850, Ethernet/IP, and OPC UA.
• Experience with RTUs, RTACs, IEDs, hirify.global relays, PLCs, HMIs, firewalls, security gateways, network switches, and cellular routers.
• Knowledge of serial and Ethernet communications, IEC 61131-3 programming, and Wireshark troubleshooting; strong technical communication, training, presentation, writing, and customer service skills.
