Senior Operational Technology (OT) Application Engineer (OMS)

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina, United States; candidates near other hirify.global offices may be considered. Travel to customer sites is required, averaging 25%.

Salary: USD $98,009.60–$175,000 per year. Additional participation in an annual discretionary bonus program may be available.

What you will do

• Lead the technical delivery of small to medium operational technology projects and own the technical scope.
• Develop system build plans covering software architecture, information security, and hardware deployment.
• Plan technical dependencies, upcoming sprints, and project implementation activities.
• Configure systems, provide customer training, and implement control systems for electric utilities.
• Develop scripts and middleware to integrate third-party systems and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Perform system and acceptance testing, travel to customer sites, and ensure contractual requirements are met.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in application engineering or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Experience with SCADA/EMS/DMS products from providers such as GE, OSII, ABB, AVEVA (Schneider), or Siemens.
• Industry experience with SCADA, ADMS, OMS, or Switch Order Management Systems.
• Technical understanding of networking, security, operating systems, virtual environments, and systems integration.
• Ability to troubleshoot across complex systems and understanding of big-data technologies and relational databases.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
