TL;DR
Test Engineer I (Aerospace): Supporting the testing and certification of aerospace and defense components, systems, and mission equipment with an accent on test planning, verification and validation, and test data analysis. Focus on developing and executing test procedures, maintaining calibrated equipment, and validating communication, computing, navigation, and surveillance systems against requirements.

Location: Lone Tree, Colorado, United States; work in an office, lab, hangar, or offsite environment. U.S. citizenship is required for employment and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Salary: $71,338.47–$98,090.40 per year.

What you will do

  • Assist with developing and executing test plans and procedures for aerospace and defense products.
  • Perform testing and validation of components, systems, and subsystems.
  • Record and analyze test data and prepare initial test-result reports.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to clarify and satisfy test requirements.
  • Maintain test equipment and verify calibration and functionality.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings and technical briefings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 0–2+ years of experience in test engineering or a related role.
  • Basic understanding of requirements, testing principles, and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of requirements management, system design, systems integration, and Verification and Validation activities.
  • Familiarity with multidisciplinary design and development teams.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.

Nice to have

  • Internship or project experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
  • Experience with testing equipment, standards, and manual or automated testing methodologies.
  • Ability to prepare detailed test plans, procedures, and reports demonstrating compliance with system requirements.
  • Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow procedures, and troubleshoot logically.
  • Knowledge of Python, C#, or TypeScript.
