Senior French Translator, Experience Design and Enablement - Bilingual

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; hybrid arrangement with 1–3 days per week on-site at Toronto-81 Bay

What you will do

• Translate, proofread, edit, evaluate, and manage French content for client-facing digital banking platforms and employee-facing applications.
• Review English-to-French translations for accuracy, consistency, concision, tone, typography, grammar, and alignment with brand standards.
• Ensure French content follows Office Québécois de la langue Française terminology and accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with content designers, translators, UX designers, accessibility consultants, UX researchers, developers, QA testers, business analysts, product owners, and business partners.
• Manage multiple initiatives within agile workflows, delivery sprints, frameworks, and ceremonies.
• Improve translation processes, documentation, CAT-tool usage, terminology management, and content libraries.

Requirements

• Native-level French proficiency with strong knowledge of French-Canadian language nuances.
• Fluency in French and English to support business operations outside Quebec, Canada.
• A recognized university degree or diploma in translation, or at least 7 years of translation experience.
• Current accreditation and good standing as a Certified English-to-French Translator.
• Experience with translation technologies and specialized tools such as Trados Studio, memoQ, Antidote, MultiTerm, OQLF standards, Termium, and Le GDT.
• Experience translating and editing product-flow content according to brand guidelines and WCAG standards, plus project management, budgeting, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
