Business Services Recruiter (HR/Workforce Development)

Location: Columbus, Ohio, USA; travel throughout Franklin County and surrounding service areas is required, including occasional evenings and weekends.

What you will do

• Advise employers on workforce challenges and develop customized recruitment and talent acquisition strategies.
• Build relationships with employers, industry associations, workforce partners, educational institutions, and community organizations.
• Analyze labor market data, workforce trends, talent availability, and industry demand to develop talent pipelines.
• Coordinate workforce transition services, hiring events, career fairs, recruitment campaigns, and workshops for displaced workers and employers.
• Support sector initiatives, apprenticeship programs, workforce innovation projects, and reemployment plans.
• Prepare reports and presentations, monitor performance metrics, maintain records, and implement continuous improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, workforce development, public administration, economic development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least three years of professional experience in workforce development, recruiting, employer engagement, human resources, business development, economic development, or a related field.
• Knowledge of talent acquisition strategies, workforce development systems, labor market trends, and employer engagement practices.
• Strong analytical, organizational, project management, problem-solving, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with workforce databases, CRM systems, Microsoft Office applications, and AI-enabled technologies.
• Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and ability to travel throughout Franklin County and surrounding service areas.

• Experience with workforce technology platforms, labor market information systems, and AI-enhanced recruitment tools.
• Experience managing projects, employer partnerships, or workforce initiatives.
