Solution Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote from anywhere in the world

Salary: $170,000–$200,000 base salary per year, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Own customer outcomes end to end, from discovery and modelling through implementation, performance tuning, production hardening, and impact measurement.
• Build and deploy decision solutions using ontologies, rules, graph analytics, optimization formulations, predictive models, and PyRel.
• Work directly with executives, domain experts, and data teams to identify and solve high-impact business problems.
• Build missing platform capabilities, contribute reusable features and abstractions upstream, and provide concrete product feedback.
• Run technical workshops, demos, and proofs of concept focused on validating real customer problems and solutions.
• Document implementations, create reference solutions, and investigate failures through evidence-based root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production software, including work in customer or partner environments.
• Demonstrated ownership of taking ambiguous problems through implementation and into production.
• Strong SQL and deep familiarity with cloud data platforms including Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or Redshift.
• Strong Python programming ability and comfort with declarative or logic-style languages.
• Ability to read unfamiliar source code, interpret stack traces, and debug systems independently.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both business executives and senior data engineers in customer environments.

Nice to have

• Experience building analytical, decision, or reasoning applications that reached and remained in production.
• Experience with optimization, constraint solving, rule engines, graph algorithms, or machine learning on structured data.
• Experience with semantic modelling, data pipelines, governance, or enterprise technology and AI platforms.
• Track record of contributing customer-built features, tools, or abstractions that became reusable standards.
