HMI Quality Validation QA Engineer (Automotive)

What you will do

• Design test cases and scenarios from screen specifications, UX guidelines, and system requirements.
• Configure IVI devices, bench environments, displays, touch equipment, vehicle-signal simulation, and validation tools.
• Perform feature validation and regression testing for visual accuracy, interactions, responsiveness, states, connectivity, and stability.
• Document defects with reproducible steps, screenshots, videos, and logs, then verify fixes.
• Maintain requirements-to-test traceability using tools such as DOORS and prepare reports for Korea HQ.
• Automate UI interactions and validation with adb, Appium, UI Automator, screenshot comparison, OCR, and CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of QA experience with GUI applications in Android or embedded environments, or with displays and touchscreens.
• Ability to create specification-based test cases and document UI defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency during repetitive validation processes.
• Basic written and verbal English communication skills are required for day-to-day QA work.
• Experience with IVI, localization testing, UI automation, test management, automotive validation, or CI/CD is relevant to the role.

Nice to have

• Experience with Android-based IVI applications, Media, Phone Projection, Driving View, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, display, touch, or audio interfaces.
• Experience validating UIs against Figma designs, multilingual interfaces, accessibility, visibility, and ISO 15008 considerations.
• Experience with OpenCV, OCR, Jira, TestRail, DOORS, CAN, LIN, or Ethernet.
• Experience working in global English-speaking environments or communicating in Korean with Korea HQ.
