Workers' Compensation Lost Time Adjuster (Remote)

What you will do

• Manage the full lifecycle of Workers' Compensation claims from investigation through resolution.
• Determine compensability and coverage using medical, legal, employment, and other evidence.
• Develop strategic action plans for moderate to complex, litigated, catastrophic, and high-severity claims.
• Manage EDI reporting and CMS Section 111 compliance while following jurisdictional requirements.
• Partner with defense counsel, negotiate settlements, and use vendors and cost-containment tools to control exposure.
• Provide clear reporting to clients and excess carriers while maintaining responsive client communication.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Workers' Compensation claims-handling experience, including lost time claims and direct claims management.
• Active adjuster licenses as required by the applicable jurisdiction, or the ability to obtain them.
• Knowledge of Workers' Compensation laws and jurisdictional requirements.
• Understanding of medical terminology and its effect on claim exposure.
• Strong investigation, analysis, decision-making, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with claims systems and the ability to manage confidential information and multiple priorities.
