Logistics Engineer (Supply Chain Optimization)

Location: Remote within the United States; Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with an hour break, with some flexibility based on coverage.

Salary: $70,000–$80,000 annually, plus eligibility for annual performance incentives.

What you will do

• Perform transportation engineering studies covering consolidation, mode optimization, LTL pooling, center-of-gravity analysis, continuous improvement, and route or milk-run optimization.
• Analyze transportation data and model alternative network, mode, consolidation, and routing strategies.
• Prepare and validate study data, including location normalization, shipment segmentation, and transportation cost baselines.
• Use transportation optimization, rating, simulation, and network modeling tools to evaluate opportunities.
• Identify and quantify savings opportunities while incorporating customer priorities and operational realities.
• Present findings and actionable recommendations to customers and internal teams, supporting implementation planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
• Professional experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain operations, or transportation engineering.
• Strong knowledge of truckload, LTL, consolidation, routing, mode selection, transportation rates, and equipment utilization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply logistics expertise to data and modeling.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong technical aptitude.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with technical, operational, commercial, and customer-facing teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with transportation optimization, network modeling, simulation, SQL, or similar analytical tools.
