Location: Hybrid in Naperville, Illinois, United States. The schedule may include evenings, weekends, or holidays to align with routing cutoffs.

Salary: $76,230–$111,744 per year.

What you will do

• Convert released transportation demand into executable route plans for assigned distribution centers.
• Build and optimize daily and forward-looking routes in Manhattan Active Transportation Management.
• Validate stop sequencing, travel and service times, driver hours-of-service, delivery windows, cube and weight utilization, equipment requirements, and distribution center constraints.
• Coordinate with scheduling, fleet and capacity planning, customer care, and distribution center operations to resolve routing constraints.
• Identify service, capacity, equipment, driver availability, and outside-carrier risks; escalate unresolved exceptions and release complete plans within established cutoffs.
• Monitor delivery risk, utilization, mileage, route count, capacity, cost, and plan-versus-actual variance while supporting MATM testing and go-live activities.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in transportation routing, transportation planning, dispatch, logistics, distribution operations, or transportation management systems.
• Hands-on experience with a transportation management system or route-optimization platform.
• Knowledge of route optimization, load planning, stop sequencing, private-fleet operations, driver hours-of-service, route duration, cube and weight, equipment, and customer delivery windows.
• Strong analytical, root-cause analysis, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint; experience managing multiple distribution centers and time-sensitive planning cycles.
• A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, analytics, operations, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience is considered.

Nice to have

• Experience with Manhattan Active Transportation Management, Manhattan Modeler, PCS, AS400-NTS, Samsara, Omnitracs, or similar platforms.
• Experience in food distribution, private or dedicated fleets, multi-distribution-center planning, or centralized transportation operations.
• Experience with Power BI, reporting tools, or transportation analytics.
