What you will do

• Lead the mechanical engineering design team supporting medium-voltage product development in Jacksonville.
• Oversee custom switchgear and bus bar designs from customer requirements through fabrication.
• Standardize design workflows across locations and reduce cycle time while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Ensure designs comply with UL, IEEE, ANSI, and C37.20 standards and applicable safety requirements.
• Collaborate with sales, planning, production, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve design issues and meet delivery schedules.
• Mentor, train, and develop team members while driving continuous improvement and design-tool adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive experience with medium-voltage mechanical design, especially custom switchgear and bus bars.
• 5+ years of demonstrated leadership of cross-functional programs or teams.
• Experience owning operational metrics, dashboards, and reporting for engineering or manufacturing functions.
• Strong proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD and FEA tools for design verification.
• In-depth knowledge of UL, IEEE, ANSI, and medium-voltage switchgear standards.
