Mechanical Engineer (High Voltage Electronics)

Location: On-site at hirify.global headquarters in Hauppauge, New York, United States. Relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $105,000–$135,000 annually, based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

What you will do

• Lead the mechanical design and packaging of high-voltage power products.
• Participate in design reviews with internal and external stakeholders to ensure fit, function, and compliance.
• Create and validate designs using CAD and analysis tools.
• Perform engineering calculations for mechanical and thermal stresses.
• Collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, and quality engineering on manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability.
• Maintain technical documentation and support product improvements, manufacturing, sales, customers, and fellow mechanical engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 7–10 years of experience in power electronics packaging and electromechanical systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, Ansys, or similar CAD/FEA tools.
• Strong knowledge of electromechanical components and housing fabrication, including sheet metal, weldments, and fasteners.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and BOM management.
• Strong documentation, communication, organization, multitasking, and technical problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with casting and plastic molding.
