What you will do

• Lead the mechanical engineering design team supporting medium-voltage product development in Jacksonville.
• Oversee custom switchgear and bus bar designs ranging from 5kV to 38kV.
• Standardize design processes across multiple locations and improve design-to-order cycle time.
• Ensure designs meet customer requirements and comply with UL, IEEE, ANSI, and C37.20 standards.
• Coordinate with sales, planning, production, maintenance, and quality teams to support manufacturability and on-time delivery.
• Develop workflows, dashboards, training, mentoring, and continuous-improvement initiatives for the design function.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive experience in medium-voltage mechanical design, including custom switchgear and bus bars.
• 5+ years of demonstrated leadership of cross-functional programs or teams.
• Experience owning operational metrics, dashboards, and reporting for an engineering or manufacturing function.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD and FEA tools for design verification.
• In-depth knowledge of UL, IEEE, and ANSI standards related to medium-voltage switchgear.
