Senior Mechanical Engineer

Salary: USD $115,000–$130,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, analyze, prototype, and develop complex mechanical components, systems, and equipment from concept through manufacturing release.
• Create assembly drawings, part drawings, bills of materials, engineering change orders, and complete design packages.
• Perform FEA and FMEA, conduct product testing, and develop validation plans to verify reliability, performance, safety, and compliance.
• Review fabrication, assembly, installation, and manufacturing workflows while identifying design optimization and troubleshooting opportunities.
• Research mechanical engineering technologies, recommend new tools and processes, and improve departmental engineering practices.
• Provide technical leadership, manage engineering projects, and train and mentor engineering staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience with mechanical design, high-volume manufacturing, and automated or manual assembly processes.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and technical drafting; SolidWorks is preferred.
• Experience with PCB layout, electronics packaging, consumer products, and electromechanical devices.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance, validation testing methods, advanced drafting terminology, and symbols.
