Process Engineer III (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite process engineering role; nearest major markets listed are San Francisco and Oakland.

Salary: $95,406–$143,108 base salary per year, plus performance-related bonus.

What you will do

• Monitor critical manufacturing processes and oversee Statistical Process Control activities.
• Track production quality, cycle time, EHS compliance, and adherence to documented work practices.
• Investigate process and product failures, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage Nonconforming Material Reports and drive timely resolution to prevent repeat issues.
• Write and update work instructions, validate batches, train operators, and support pilot-to-full-scale manufacturing transitions.
• Lead process-related capital projects, troubleshoot equipment, coordinate calibration, and manage process changes with Maintenance and Production.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Preferred 5–8 years of related process engineering experience.
• More than 3 years of experience in chemical synthesis, preferably in batch operations.
• Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control, process control, pumps, piping systems, control valves, mixers, solids handling, and environmental control equipment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
