Location: Portland, Oregon, United States. Hybrid schedule: 4 days per week in-office and 1 day remote. Applicants must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States at the time of application, except eligible current employees with an existing U.S. visa. Relocation to Portland is supported for eligible candidates.
Starting salary: $104,000–$133,000 USD annually, depending on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What you will do
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of assembly manufacturing processes.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to Manufacturing Engineers across multiple locations.
- Lead manufacturing projects from concept through implementation, managing schedules, risks, budgets, resources, and stakeholder alignment.
- Support safety-critical manufacturing systems, tooling, assembly processes, controls, and process designs.
- Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, Lean Manufacturing, standardization, and continuous improvement across plants.
- Develop long-term manufacturing strategies and roadmaps for new products, changing regulations, capacity needs, and evolving production requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field, plus 5–7 years of relevant experience.
- At least 2 years of experience leading multi-stakeholder projects and at least 2 years supporting manufacturing launches, process improvements, or capital projects.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, formulas, pivot tables, and dashboards; proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Experience with engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T, assembly layouts, manufacturing documentation, tooling concepts, workstation designs, or assembly process flows.
- Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and structured problem-solving methods.
- Ability to travel approximately 25% to manufacturing facilities, suppliers, and project locations.
Nice to have
- Experience in truck, automotive, heavy equipment, or high-volume manufacturing.
- Experience with safety-critical processes, torque-controlled fastening systems, tooling, automation, or controls.
- Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar software.
- Spanish language proficiency and experience working with geographically dispersed teams in Mexico and North America.
