Manager, Project and Construction (HVAC and Refrigeration)

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; onsite facility and construction work

Salary: CAD 91,900–126,390 per year, based on relevant experience.

What you will do

• Oversee large-scale HVAC, refrigeration, facility retrofit, capital, and energy-efficiency projects.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders and external service providers to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Monitor project milestones, resource allocation, financial performance, forecasts, and regional budgets.
• Lead Managers and Supervisors through coaching, performance feedback, technical training, and succession planning.
• Conduct audits and inspections covering vehicle safety, inventory, equipment condition, work orders, and operational standards.
• Drive maintenance initiatives, define performance metrics, remove operational barriers, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Age 16 or older.
• Experience or expertise in commercial HVAC and refrigeration practices.
• Ability to manage facility construction, maintenance, and capital projects.
• Knowledge of refrigerant management, mechanical licensing, environmental requirements, and applicable federal, provincial/state, and local regulations.
• Ability to manage budgets, expenditures, forecasting, financial reporting, and vendor performance.
• Ability to lead teams, conduct evaluations, and build a safety-focused maintenance organization.
