Specialist, People (6 Month Contract)

Location: Calgary, AB, Canada; onsite at 3400 39th Ave NE

Salary: CAD 60,000–75,000 per year, based on relevant experience.

What you will do

• Administer job postings, review applicants, and prepare qualified-candidate packages for managers.
• Coordinate hourly new-hire processes, including interviews, offer letters, orientations, and onboarding paperwork.
• Maintain employment files and enter associate movements and documentation into the HRIS.
• Prepare headcount, length-of-service, and demographic reports.
• Work with the National HRIS Specialist to administer and resolve HRIS and time-and-attendance issues, auditing data for payroll, pension, and benefits administration.
• Answer frontline enquiries and support leave-of-absence, benefits, and return-to-work documentation.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to perform HR administration, data entry, reporting, auditing, and recruitment coordination.
• Ability to support policy and procedure compliance and respond to enquiries about payroll, benefits, pensions, vacation, and leaves.
