Engineer I, Process Development (Lipid Nanoparticles)

Location: Norwood, Massachusetts, United States; site-based full-time, not eligible for remote work

Salary: $63,200–$100,900 per year, with potential bonus, incentive compensation, or equity award.

What you will do

• Receive technology transfers from Process Development teams for formulation sciences and drug formulation and delivery development.
• Support process development, scale-up strategies, and process control implementation.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot custom equipment used to manufacture formulation batches.
• Collaborate with analytical and technical teams to characterize product attributes.
• Implement laboratory best practices and write or update production-specific SOPs.
• Follow safety procedures and documented waste-handling requirements.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Chemistry, Systems, Biomedical or Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field; MS is also considered.
• 0–2 years of related experience.
• Demonstrated success in bioprocess development, technical problem-solving, and technology transfer.
• Experience with solution preparation, lipid nanoparticles, sterile fill/finish, or tangential flow filtration.
• Strong written and oral communication, organization, multitasking, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work full-time at hirify.global’s Norwood site is required.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with fermentation, enzymatic reactions, chromatography, or tangential flow filtration.
