TL;DR
Associate Vice President & Equity Analyst (U.S. Core and Growth Equities): Researching U.S. equities across market capitalizations using a fundamental Seven Step Investment Process, with an accent on industry analysis, financial statement analysis, valuation, and ESG analysis. Focus on building DCF-based financial models, initiating and monitoring stock coverage, and presenting investment theses to clients.

Location: On-site full-time in Boston, MA; research and client travel required. Candidates must be legally eligible to work at the specified location and may need a valid work or study permit.

Salary: $100,000–$160,000 per year, based on experience, qualifications, and location, plus potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

  • Learn and apply the team’s fundamental Seven Step Investment Process.
  • Initiate stock coverage through research reports, team debate, and follow-up analysis.
  • Research companies, market data, industry trends, filings, management teams, and ESG factors.
  • Build financial statement models and perform DCF-based range-of-values analysis.
  • Maintain quarterly company summaries and create custom FactSet reports.
  • Develop client materials, travel to meet clients and prospects, and present portfolio stock analysis.

Requirements

  • MBA degree required; CFA designation is an asset.
  • Several years of financial services experience before graduate school, ideally with a buy-side investment firm.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and judgment skills.
  • Expertise in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; FactSet and Bloomberg experience preferred.
  • Strong interest in stock investing, curiosity, independence, teamwork, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Full-time on-site work in Boston is required.
