What you will do

• Provide clinical care in an outpatient gastrointestinal practice, including assessing patients and recording vital signs and weight.
• Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic procedures, treatments, phlebotomy, injections, suturing, and other office procedures.
• Administer medications according to provider orders and document dosages, routes, sites, and patient responses.
• Document interventions, test results, medical records, reports, referrals, and pre-certifications accurately and confidentially.
• Provide patient education, triage phone calls and appointment urgency, relay clinical information, and communicate test results.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, cleanliness, safety standards, and participate in quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• Active LPN license in the state of Tennessee required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
• Education and experience must meet the standards required by the issuing authority for the applicable licensure.
• Ability to use office and medical equipment, including EKG machines, stethoscopes, blood pressure cuffs, scales, thermometers, and basic laboratory equipment.
• Ability to collaborate with patients, physicians, and other care team members while maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
