Medical Assistant GYN Oncology

Location: Tigard, Oregon, United States; onsite at the West Cancer Center

Salary: $21.09–$35.65 per hour

What you will do

• Escort patients and support efficient flow through examination, treatment, and procedure areas.
• Record vital signs, patient histories, allergies, medication changes, and other visit data.
• Prepare examination and treatment rooms, stock supplies, disinfect rooms, and process instruments.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures, including administering subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.
• Obtain medical records, test results, imaging, and other documentation needed for visits and procedures.
• Answer patient calls, coordinate referrals and prescriptions, and schedule tests, procedures, admissions, and follow-up appointments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification required.
• 1–3 years of experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant preferred.
• Medical Assistant certificate from an accredited program preferred.
• GYN, operating room, procedural, or phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Ability to work onsite during regularly scheduled business hours and perform physical patient-care duties, including standing, walking, and lifting patients or items up to 40 pounds.
