Medical Assistant - Foundation Gastroenterology - Full time

Location: Nashua, New Hampshire, United States. Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

What you will do

• Support providers and nurses with clinical patient care under supervision.
• Administer medications and immunizations, perform point-of-care testing, and collect specimens.
• Gather health histories and vital signs, and accurately document findings in Epic and the medical record.
• Communicate provider instructions and care plans to patients and families.
• Coordinate pre-visit preparation, scheduling, medical records, outreach, and other patient service tasks.
• Mentor and support new staff while following infection-control, safety, HIPAA, and organizational standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program with a clinical externship.
• Current certification or registration through AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• At least 2 years of clinical medical assistant experience; 3 or more years preferred.
• Experience with specimen collection, medication administration, vital signs, Epic EMR, and medical office workflows.
• Strong communication, adaptability, attention to detail, multitasking, and commitment to patient-centered care.
