Salary: $21.80–$31.61 per hour

What you will do

  • Escort patients, collect vital signs and medication updates, verify records and consent, and document all elements of care.
  • Prepare examination and treatment rooms, maintain supplies, disinfect equipment, and follow PPE and hygiene protocols.
  • Assist providers with examinations, procedures, patient education, blood collection, and supervised injections.
  • Conduct non-clinical intake screening and communicate relevant information to providers and supervisors.
  • Coordinate prescriptions, tests, procedures, hospital admissions, follow-up appointments, pre-authorizations, and patient records.
  • Perform clerical and administrative duties including scheduling, reception, filing, faxing, and medication program maintenance.

Requirements

  • Washington high school diploma or GED and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Current Washington DOH Medical Assistant certification, eligibility to obtain DOH MA Registered credentials, or current Nursing Assistant certification in a hospital or clinic setting.
  • CPR certification.
  • Five years of experience as a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant in a hospital or clinic setting.
  • Ability to stand, bend, crouch, grasp, reach, talk, and hear regularly, and occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work with bloodborne pathogens, toxic or caustic chemicals, ionizing radiation, and medical preparations in an oncology and hematology clinic.

  • Previous phlebotomy experience.
