Strategic Program Manager – Zelle (Fintech)

Location: New York City with a hybrid work model. The role is limited to candidates who are independently eligible to work in the United States for any employer; visa sponsorship is not available.

Base pay: $145,000–$177,000 per year in Phoenix or Chicago; $174,000–$213,000 per year in New York or San Francisco, plus a discretionary incentive plan and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage large, complex programs comprising multiple interrelated projects aligned with strategic business objectives.
• Establish program frameworks, roadmaps, governance, milestones, status reporting, and resource-capacity plans.
• Monitor delivery against schedule, budget, quality, and customer-value commitments while mitigating risks and resolving issues.
• Coordinate cross-project dependencies and maintain the master program plan.
• Develop program-management policies, templates, tools, partnerships, and process improvements.
• Lead, coach, and mentor project managers, PMO members, stakeholders, and vendors while communicating with executive leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
• PMP certification, a related certification, or equivalent experience.
• 8 or more years of program-management experience, including people leadership and mentorship.
• Experience in financial institutions or regulated industries, software development, data-processing, application, or communications environments.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and the full System Development Life Cycle.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills; background and drug screening required.

• Agile or ScrumMaster certification.
• Lean Six Sigma certification.
• People-management experience.
