Power Generation Technician

What you will do

• Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot generator fuel, air, cooling, electrical, and control systems.
• Inspect propane and natural gas systems for leaks, valve positioning, and reliability issues across approximately 60 operating generation sites.
• Monitor propane consumption, manage monthly fuel gas sampling, and address unexpected usage or quality issues.
• Coordinate inspections, maintenance, and repairs with Operations and vendors; verify completed work and close deficiencies.
• Track runtime, downtime, and outage causes to identify recurring failures and recommend corrective maintenance.
• Respond to outages, support troubleshooting and repairs, document deficiencies and hazards in Sphera, and return assets to service safely.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to five years of hands-on power generation experience, including at least two years in the oilfield.
• Technical knowledge of mechanical systems and preventive maintenance techniques.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, isometrics, and circuit diagrams.
• Valid driver's license and continued eligibility under the company's insurance requirements.
• Employment visas are not sponsored for this position.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of controls programming and parameter configuration.
• PLC programming experience.
