Generator Technician III

Location: Corona, California, USA; field work in varying weather conditions may be required.

What you will do

• Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on generators.
• Respond to scheduled and emergency repairs during regular hours, after-hours, weekends, and holidays as directed.
• Read operational manuals, electrical schematics, generator literature, and work orders.
• Conduct equipment commissioning for industrial and MPS products.
• Identify faulty operations and defective materials and report findings to the service manager.
• Create FieldServio service reports and communicate findings by phone, email, and in person.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Valid driver license; ability to drive a heavy-duty truck may be required, along with a DOT Medical Card.
• At least four years of experience servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems.
• Working knowledge of mechanical design, AC/DC circuitry, power generation, wiring schematics, connection diagrams, and transfer switch operations.
• Advanced engine maintenance and troubleshooting knowledge, including natural gas fuel systems, diesel or gaseous engines, and spark-ignited systems.
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, provide detailed reports within 24 hours, and obtain and maintain hirify.global certifications.

Nice to have

• Six years of experience servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems.
• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of light towers, pumps, and heating products.
