TL;DR
Generator Technician III (Power Generation): Servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and commissioning industrial and emergency power generators with an accent on mechanical systems, electrical circuitry, engines, and natural gas fuel systems. Focus on diagnosing EPSS faults, performing preventive maintenance, responding to emergency field repairs, and documenting service work.
Location: Corona, California, USA; field work in varying weather conditions may be required.

What you will do
- Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on generators.
- Respond to scheduled and emergency repairs during regular hours, after-hours, weekends, and holidays as directed.
- Read operational manuals, electrical schematics, generator literature, and work orders.
- Conduct equipment commissioning for industrial and MPS products.
- Identify faulty operations and defective materials and report findings to the service manager.
- Create FieldServio service reports and communicate findings by phone, email, and in person.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Valid driver license; ability to drive a heavy-duty truck may be required, along with a DOT Medical Card.
- At least four years of experience servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems.
- Working knowledge of mechanical design, AC/DC circuitry, power generation, wiring schematics, connection diagrams, and transfer switch operations.
- Advanced engine maintenance and troubleshooting knowledge, including natural gas fuel systems, diesel or gaseous engines, and spark-ignited systems.
- Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, provide detailed reports within 24 hours, and obtain and maintain certifications.
Nice to have
- Six years of experience servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems.
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge of light towers, pumps, and heating products.
