Field Technician - Recip Operator (Gas Engines)

Location: Midland, Texas, United States; onsite field work with 12+ hour shifts covering days or nights, weekends, and holidays.

What you will do

• Operate and maintain gas reciprocating engine packages and related power generation equipment.
• Monitor control panels, gauges, instruments, and operating parameters to support safe and efficient performance.
• Conduct walk-around inspections, routine checks, housekeeping, and daily operational log verification.
• Coordinate with the Remote Operations Center to troubleshoot faults and lead equipment troubleshooting efforts.
• Evaluate equipment readiness after shutdown events and assist with installation and commissioning of power generation assets.
• Maintain accurate operations and maintenance records and support the development of power generation efficiencies.

Requirements

• At least one year of gas turbine operations or electrical experience.
• Ability to read electrical and control drawings.
• Ability to safely operate and maintain equipment during extended shifts and in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work closely with others, meet time-sensitive deadlines, and respond to emergencies.
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, climb ladders or stairs, and lift or move up to 80 pounds occasionally.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills and an action-oriented approach.

Nice to have

• Experience with gas reciprocating engine packages.
• CAT gas engine experience.
