Senior Frontend Software Engineer (React)

Location: Arlington, Virginia headquarters; onsite at least 4–5 days per week. Light travel may be required when transitioning products.

Salary: $125,000–$180,000 USD annualized.

What you will do

• Develop frontend features using modern component-based frameworks such as Vue or React.
• Design, prototype, implement, and test user interfaces and full sections of functionality.
• Work with users, teammates, designers, and program managers to deliver responsive, modular, and event-driven features.
• Debug issues, identify edge cases and error states, and suggest improvements to UI/UX designs.
• Collaborate with the testing team on comprehensive testing strategies.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high-quality, modular, reusable code while evaluating emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 5 years of relevant experience; comparable experience without a degree may be considered.
• 5+ years of professional frontend software development experience with component-based frameworks.
• Strong familiarity with Vue or React.
• Familiarity with geospatial JavaScript libraries such as Cesium or OpenLayers.
• Familiarity with standard Linux software engineering tools, including Git, GCC, and Make.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance up to TS/SCI.

Nice to have

• Experience with WebSocket or Server-Sent Events, Tailwind CSS, REST APIs, or FastAPI.
• Experience with Go, Python, Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, or other containerization tools.
• An active DoD clearance at Secret level or above.
