Senior Product Designer (AI/Robotics)

Location: Toronto, ON / San Francisco, CA / Remote US & Canada. Workplace: Hybrid, with remote work available in the US and Canada.

What you will do

• Design end-to-end fleet management and remote assistance workflows for monitoring, dispatching, and intervening with autonomous vehicles in real time.
• Conduct first-principles research by observing terminal staff, fleet operators, and other users in their working environments.
• Design human interactions with AI and automation across fleet tracking, vehicle dispatch, remote assistance, and operational exception handling.
• Build and extend the shared design system across product surfaces.
• Contribute directly to production React codebases using AI-assisted development tools.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, and operations teams from requirements definition through delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing information-dense tools and complex ecosystems.
• Ability to break down ambiguous problems and lead user-centered design from discovery through delivery.
• Strong design craft and judgment, balancing visual quality, usability, and practical trade-offs.
• Comfort working with component libraries and designing directly in code.
• Curiosity about logistics, hardware integrations, autonomous technology, and unfamiliar operational domains.

Nice to have

• Experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or logistics operations.
• Experience designing real-time monitoring, dispatch, or command-and-control interfaces.
• Background in industrial design, hardware interfaces, or physical operations environments.
• Experience scaling products from prototypes or internal tools to external customer-facing products.
