QA Automation Developer (AI)

Location: Hybrid, with 3 days per week in the Oakville, Ontario office

Salary: CAD 84,200–105,300 per year

What you will do

• Design and implement automated test frameworks using Playwright, Xray, Claude, and other modern tools.
• Execute QA activities within AI agentic workflows and apply approved AI/ML-powered tooling to accelerate testing.
• Create comprehensive test plans and scenarios from software requirements and design specifications.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes and patterns, and report defects using JIRA and Xray.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA specialists to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of QA test automation experience, including test code generation in Java, TypeScript, or a similar language.
• At least 1 year of professional experience using AI/ML-powered tools in QA or software development.
• Understanding of the SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Xray, or Zephyr.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with database testing, SQL, and Playwright.
• Experience implementing agentic AI solutions and human-in-the-loop patterns.
• Familiarity with web application testing and accessibility standards.
• Experience mentoring or training QA team members.
