Transport Coordinator (Maternity Cover)

Location: Corby, United Kingdom. Monday–Friday day shifts, 42.5 hours per week, with on-site duties.

Salary: £30,750 per year. Fixed-term contract for 12 months.

What you will do

• Brief drivers on tasks, schedules, and safety requirements before shifts.
• Adjust transport plans in real time for factory clearance, inbound collections, and outbound deliveries.
• Monitor schedules, identify potential issues, and coordinate solutions with the traffic team.
• Maintain accurate traffic administration and update live changes in Transport Management Systems and tracking screens.
• Communicate with customers, respond to queries, and support positive working relationships.
• Report vehicle accidents, verify driver licences, monitor absences, and deliver weekly and monthly KPIs.

Requirements

• At least five GCSEs or equivalent.
• Three years of transport experience, including HGV transport logistics or traffic administration in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Confident professional communication with drivers, customers, and colleagues.
• Competence with IT systems, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
