Road Freight (Transcon) Supervisor

Location: Canton Lane, Hams Hall Industrial Estate, Coleshill, Birmingham, United Kingdom. Must have the right to work in the UK.

What you will do

• Support daily local Transcon road-freight operations, department setup, work allocation, and team meetings.
• Coordinate outbound and inbound shipment processing, tracking and tracing, and origin and destination dwell management.
• Monitor on-time performance, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and compliance with company procedures.
• Build relationships with customers and service providers and support new-business transitions, implementations, and account-management activities.
• Ensure accurate shipment processing, cost protection, customer invoicing, accounts-receivable follow-up, and invoice audits.
• Support employee onboarding, training, personnel development plans, and maintenance of work-related certifications.

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK.
• Six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of freight-forwarding products, services, systems, and the domestic freight market.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with a customer-service focus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
• Organizational, time-management, problem-solving, collaboration, autonomy, attention-to-detail, and adaptability skills.
