Senior Software Engineer (Core Platform)

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York, NY; hybrid with in-person collaboration 3 to 4 days a week.

Salary: $195,500–$264,500 annual targeted cash compensation, depending on level, experience, and interview performance.

What you will do

• Build foundational services, APIs, and abstractions for enterprise-grade software.
• Own critical user authentication and authorization services.
• Develop foundational data infrastructure and models for compensation intelligence.
• Design generalized platform solutions that address cross-product challenges.
• Lead large, ambiguous technical initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Deliver maintainable and scalable systems in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience building data-intensive applications.
• Experience with modern web technologies such as TypeScript and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with data infrastructure, data pipelines or ETL, and data modeling.
• Strong product intuition and systems-thinking ability.
• Experience leading large technical projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, MySQL, Prisma, React, and GCP is relevant to the platform stack.

Nice to have

• Experience with ML or AI platforms.
