Assistant Night Manager Full Time (Retail)

Location: Willimantic, Connecticut, United States; onsite overnight work

Salary: $21.75–$27.19

What you will do

• Lead overnight merchandising execution in coordination with the Assistant Club Manager of Merchandising.
• Coordinate staffing, training, forklift operations, and task execution for overnight merchandising teams.
• Complete display setup, pallet movement, sales-floor resets, signage, and inventory preparation for morning operations.
• Maintain merchandise availability, presentation standards, GOLD Member Standards, and a positive member experience.
• Oversee equipment readiness, forklift safety, sanitation, pallet and steel safety checks, and audit documentation.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when needed, taking responsibility for club operations, team leadership, and member engagement.

Requirements

• Basic computer knowledge, including MS Word, MS Excel, and email.
• Forklift operator qualification is required; yearly forklift certification must be maintained.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Open shift availability and regular, predictable full attendance on overnight shifts.
• All required training and certifications must be maintained.
• Ability to move on hard surfaces, use a pallet jack, and regularly lift up to 30 pounds, with occasional heavier lifting assistance.

Nice to have

• High school diploma, college degree, or experience in big-box wholesale, retail, grocery, or management.
• Prior forklift operation and merchandising experience.
