Assistant General Manager - Jared Jewelers - Maplewood Mall - Outparcel (Retail)

Location: Jared Jewelers - Maplewood Mall, Maplewood, Minnesota, United States

Base pay: $16.50–$21.00 per hour, plus commission on sales. Final pay rate depends on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Assume the General Manager’s duties and responsibilities during their absence.
• Drive store sales, customer satisfaction, service standards, and daily performance goals.
• Supervise and support sales, office, and inventory personnel, including recruiting, interviews, coaching, training, and role plays.
• Manage customer flow, complaints, merchandise displays, advertising programs, inventory control, expenses, payroll, and markdowns.
• Build product knowledge, complete Diamontology and GIA Gemology courses, and support jewelry and watch repair services.
• Maintain store security, loss prevention, policies, procedures, and general store upkeep.

• Ability to achieve outstanding sales performance and provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to plan, organize, supervise, delegate, make decisions, and accept responsibility.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, persuasion, product knowledge, and floor-awareness skills.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude, reliability, dependability, and a cooperative work style.
• Completion of required security, safety, minimum training, and knowledge assessments with passing scores.
• For internal candidates, no Code of Conduct written counseling within the past six months and meeting expectations on the latest performance appraisal are required.
