What you will do

• Advise enterprise customers throughout the Databricks deployment lifecycle, from architectural design and administration to production deployment.
• Design secure, scalable cloud architectures covering networking, private connectivity, identity, encryption, compliance, and data security.
• Build and maintain complex cloud environments with infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native automation tools.
• Demonstrate Databricks solutions in competitive scenarios and develop custom technical solutions.
• Coordinate DSAs, SAs, FDEs, and partners to deliver solutions for complex customer requirements.
• Provide customer feedback to influence product direction and coach junior Solutions Architects.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical role.
• Advanced knowledge of cloud security, IAM, enterprise identity services, federation protocols, cloud networking, private connectivity, platform administration, observability, disaster recovery, and cost management.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code, including Terraform and AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud automation tools.
• Strong coding proficiency in Python and PySpark/Spark, including live coding, debugging, and solution building.
• Expertise in distributed data systems, scalable pipelines, streaming architectures, lakehouse patterns, and cloud-native data platforms.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience; willingness to travel up to 30%.

Nice to have

• Databricks certifications in Data Engineering, ML, or Platform technologies.
• Professional-level AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud certifications.
• Experience with Snowflake, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, or other competitive data platforms.
• Background in a data/AI company or cloud provider.
