Director EM Category (Innovative Medicine)

Location: Based in Zug, Switzerland; Geel or Beerse, Belgium; Cork, Ireland; Leiden, Netherlands; or Titusville, New Jersey, United States. Up to 20% domestic and international travel may be required.

Salary: $150,000–$258,750 base pay per year

What you will do

• Oversee a defined segment of external manufacturing spend for biotherapeutics and synthetic platforms.
• Develop and execute category plans, sourcing strategies, negotiations, contracts, and value-creation initiatives.
• Lead strategic supplier relationship management, commercial interactions, joint initiatives, and contract performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Finance, Operations, R&D, and other stakeholders to ensure supply continuity, capacity, and innovation.
• Use data, analytics, risk analysis, and market expertise to improve financial performance, service, quality, and compliance.
• Lead and mentor a team of sourcing professionals while fostering a high-performance and inclusive culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; an MSc or MBA is preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in Procurement and Supply Chain.
• Expertise in category management, spend management, supplier management, contracting, compliance, and commercial matters.
• Experience with project and change management methodologies and leading cross-functional teams.
• People management experience, strong business acumen, influencing skills, communication skills, and judgment in resolving complex issues.
• Ability to work in a multi-country, multi-sector environment and drive continuous improvement and innovation.
