Associate Director, Strategic Sourcing, Global Medical Affairs & HEOR Category Lead (Pharmaceutical R&D)

Location: Princeton, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $150,034–$224,250 annually, plus incentive opportunity.

What you will do

• Lead strategic sourcing activities for Global Medical Affairs, HEOR, and other R&D categories.
• Build partnerships with R&D stakeholders and translate business objectives into sourcing strategies.
• Manage supplier relationships, governance, performance measurement, continuous improvement, and innovation.
• Lead RFx processes, market assessments, Master Services Agreement negotiations, amendments, task orders, and change orders.
• Develop KPIs, track sourcing initiatives, report risks and outcomes, and drive 10–15% annual savings.
• Ensure compliance with sourcing policies, industry regulations, J-SOX, third-party risk management, quality, and ethical standards.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in R&D Strategic Sourcing.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech R&D categories and leading complex sourcing events.
• Expertise in procurement strategy, supplier contracts, rate-card negotiations, and strategic partnerships.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
• Basic understanding of ICH E6 guidelines and Good Laboratory Practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Sciences, or a relevant technical field; an MBA or MS is preferred.
