Executive Procurement

Location: Aurangabad, India; based at the Ch. Sambhaji Nagar Engine Assembly Plant. The role includes travelling to key suppliers 40% of the time.

What you will do

• Lead, manage, and develop the local supplier base for sheet metal, fabrication, stampings, rubber, plastic, and tubular components.
• Identify new suppliers, develop new sources, and participate in sourcing decisions with program and commodity teams.
• Maintain at least 95% on-time delivery for the assigned component categories.
• Conduct supplier assessments, capacity evaluations, control-plan audits, and performance reviews.
• Negotiate prices, perform detailed cost reviews, and support should-cost, zero-base costing, cost-saving, and VA/VE activities.
• Collaborate with planning, quality, engineering, logistics, purchasing, and project teams to resolve supplier and material issues.

Requirements

• Mechanical or Production Engineering degree.
• 5–7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Experience purchasing from domestic and import suppliers, including subcontracting.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, especially engine parts, purchasing processes, commercial negotiations, and material markets.
• Experience with Excel, SAP or a similar integrated purchasing system, and data collection and analysis.
• Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
