Materials Project Management - Strategic Sourcing

What you will do

• Initiate and manage RFQs, lead-time requests, and should-cost estimates from internal stakeholders.
• Use supplier matrices to evaluate quotations, negotiate terms, and award business.
• Develop dual-sourcing and lead-time mitigation strategies to protect supply continuity.
• Define sourcing plans for NPI and pilot projects with cross-functional teams.
• Qualify critical supplier parts, interpret multi-level BOMs, drawings, specifications, and special processes.
• Analyze cost roll-ups, resolve target-versus-quoted cost gaps, present recommendations to executives, and support the transition from NPI to volume manufacturing.

Requirements

• Experience in sourcing, negotiation, dual sourcing, and supplier management.
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods, commodities, product cost structures, and cost models for outsourced assemblies and modules.
• Proficiency with MS Office; advanced Excel capability is required.
• Knowledge of SAP MM and experience working with cross-functional teams on new product or design-change projects.
• Ability to interpret BOMs and drawings and use 3D modeling and PLM software.
• Strong communication, presentation, and independent working skills, including experience with global suppliers.
