Emergency Prep and Resp Coordinator

Location: Mototolo Complex, Burgersfort, South Africa; on-site physical presence required

What you will do

• Provide expert advice and implement best-practice emergency preparedness and response systems and programs.
• Develop and review first-aid, business continuity management, emergency response policies, procedures, guidelines, and codes of practice.
• Conduct audits of emergency preparedness and response plans throughout all operational phases.
• Administer emergency response systems and ensure training and projects meet operational standards and business continuity risk requirements.
• Oversee the emergency response fleet, including fire trucks, fire RIVs, and ladder trucks.
• Engage with ERT and RIT captains, regulatory authorities, interest and affected parties, municipal bodies, and other external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Qualification in Safety and Fire Rescue.
• Qualifications in firefighting, hazardous materials response, industrial confined-space rescue, and fire apparatus driving or operation.
• Advanced Trauma/Life Support qualification and completion of A3 or risk-related training.
• Successful completion of COMSOC 1 and 2.
• At least 3 years of industrial safety and firefighting experience.
• Leadership, initiative, effective oral and written communication, assessment capability, and a Code 8 (B) driver's licence.
