Unit Controller (Aerospace)

Location: Christchurch, UK; hybrid working, flexitime, and a condensed work week may be available depending on the role.

What you will do

• Manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow projections for a business unit generating approximately $100–125M in annual revenue.
• Direct accounting operations, including property accounting, cost accounting, budgetary controls, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll support.
• Prepare and review financial statements, analyses, forecasts, special reports, and management recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, Cost Accounting Standards, Federal Acquisition Regulations, governmental requirements, and corporate policies.
• Evaluate business systems, propose upgrades, identify financial risks and performance obstacles, and develop improvement strategies.
• Supervise, develop, and evaluate personnel within the finance function.

Requirements

• Experience in accounting, tax, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Managerial experience in a corporate setting.
• Professional accounting certification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
• Ability to prepare accurate financial reports and interpret actual and forecast revenue, budgets, and development costs.
• Ability to identify financial problems early and recommend corrective action.
