Senior Product Designer (AI)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States

Base pay: $145,830–$219,000 annually, plus annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design tools, interfaces, and experiences supporting the development and deployment of autonomous driving technology.
• Create 2D interfaces, 3D environments, spatial workflows, and data visualizations for technical users.
• Design internal systems that help teams understand, debug, evaluate, and improve performance.
• Translate complex technical systems into intuitive and elegant user experiences.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and operators across autonomy, simulation, developer tooling, and operational tooling.

Requirements

• Portfolio demonstrating strong product design craft, systems thinking, product thinking, interaction design, and visual design.
• Experience designing complex software products for technical or expert users, such as developer tools, enterprise software, robotics tools, simulation tools, geospatial products, gaming tools, or automotive interfaces.
• Experience with spatial, simulation, mapping, robotics, gaming, AR/VR, automotive, or data visualization experiences.
• Proficiency with Figma and modern design and prototyping tools.
• Ability to partner closely with engineering teams, understand technical constraints, and communicate design rationale to cross-functional and leadership audiences.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI tools and workflows to accelerate execution and navigate technical complexity.

Nice to have

• Experience with autonomy, robotics, autonomous vehicles, simulation, mapping, geospatial tools, gaming engines, or real-time 3D environments.
• Experience with Unity, Unreal, Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D, Spline, Three.js, WebGL, or similar 3D workflows.
• Experience designing developer tools, internal platforms, data-heavy workflows, or AI-enabled products.
• Experience building or evolving design systems.
• Background in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Architecture, Industrial Design, Game Design, or a related field.
